Futures seek to appoint a Junior Project Manager with some mechanical engineering knowledge for our client, a well known manufacturing business based in Leeds, on a permanent basis. There is a great working culture and benefits package and lots of opportunities for internal promotion. Your main role will be supporting the projects team so a background in something project related is desirable but not essential. You need to have experience in activities such as BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders and previous involvement in a customer facing role for a mechanical engineering business. Your role will be to manage a series of small projects through the company, working closely with internal teams in engineering, purchasing and manufacturing, to ensure that customer requirements are met and your projects are delivered in full and on time. You will have frequent interaction with external parties too.

* Familiarity with mechanical engineering: BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders, engineering drawings
* Daily communication with a range of stakeholders (suppliers, customers and internal teams)
* Managing customer expectations and keeping them updated and informed on the progress of their order
* General office administration support
* Competent with Microsoft Office

* Previous experience in a customer or supplier facing role for a manufacturing company
* A good understanding of mechanical engineering (Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous)
