About the role


Futures are working with a multi-billion £ fast-paced and dynamic FMCG business, who have an impressive portfolio of well-known household products we use every day!

With a current turnover of over £11billion they are taking the market by storm and have achieved 12% YoY growth over the past 3 years!

We are looking for a Junior Category Manager to join an ambitious and progressive team with exposure across all UK retailer customers. You will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing team, by analysing market and category data in order to provide insight into market trends and opportunities for the brands.

Your Key Responsibilities and Duties:
– Analysing key market, product, and sales data to identify any strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for the business
– Recognising actionable insights from data across multiple sources quickly and effectively
– Translate key findings and be able to present simply and effectively to key stakeholders both internally and externally across various levels
– Update and report market changes on a monthly basis using a number of different data sources
– Working with cross-functional teams to provide analysis and insights that support business planning and forecasting
– Supporting NPD and brand communication by researching market data and price positioning, as well as helping predict sales performance

Your Skills and Requirements:
– 2+ years of experience in a Category or Analyst role within the FMCG market
– Experience in conducting analysis across consumer and competitor research and market data
– Experience of using IRI, Nielsen, Dunhumby, I2C/SIP would be desirable
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights
