We are pleased to partner with a leading machine manufacturer to find an experienced Business Development Manager!
This role drives profitable sales expansion, focusing on acquiring new and re-engaging with dormant clients. Working closely with the sales team and internal departments to ensure opportunities are professionally managed, proposals delivered efficiently and followed up to sales closure.
We are looking for an individual with strong strategic sales skills and a nose for an opportunity to sell capital equipment in an International environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
• Gather and analyse market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs.
• Identify opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure a maximum share of The Company’s Industries.
• Create business development strategies; identify roadblocks and drive new business from conception through closure.
• Create new opportunities then promptly respond and manage potential clients and existing customers.
• Deliver business development-related presentations, negotiate, and close business with potential customers, working in coordination with other business development resources and support.
• Work closely with other sales personnel and utilise technical support to maximize the sales realised in the territory/sector.
• Identify full customer needs to uncover additional opportunities within accounts across The Company’s Industries portfolio.
• Create and continuously develop business reports covering areas such as forecasting, client behaviour and necessary channel performance.
Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Previous experience of capital equipment sales on an International Basis
• Commercially aware
• IT proficient
• Highly developed sales techniques (including targeted market research opportunity, and value proposition approach).
• Ability to understand and interpret a customer’s needs and promote a solution-led outcome for the customer.
• Understanding of consultative client relationships where repeat business is key.
• Prior experience and a good understanding of Salesforce.
• Previous commercial experience with a demonstrable track record of working with a technically complex product or solution.
• Previous experience developing lasting business relationships with new commercial customers from scratch.
• Strong presentation skills – should have experience presenting to small, medium, and large groups on a regular
