Public Sector Futures have partnered with a blue light organisation in the Midlands who require interim support within the Communication Systems department in the form of an Interim Network and Security Manager. For this role the successful candidate must be MV/NPPVL3 and SC cleared.
The key elements of this role include:
To lead the strategic planning and management of the data networking requirements of the Force.
To be responsible for the technical design, specification, implementation, management, security, support and maintenance of the Force data networks ensuring the business requirements of all stakeholders are met.
To work with national, regional and local agencies and partners, including suppliers to deliver external networks and connectivity as required.
To work with the Information Security Officer, all IT resources and other Force stakeholders to ensure that all networking meets the requirements of applicable local, regional and national information security policy, process, guidance and standards including accreditations and codes of connection.
To ensure that all networking solutions meet business requirements including performance and capacity planning and budget management.
Ensure that networking designs meet appropriate recommendations, architectural patterns and risk models including NCSC and NIST.
To develop and mentor the network knowledge and capabilities of colleagues in the Force.
To participate in an on-call rota for 24-hour support.
