Job Details:
You will be part of the Service Team which means you will assist in the repair, maintenance and validation and delivery of fully electric and hybrid drive systems.
The Service Engineer will be primarily based at the Rotherham workshops with customer site work both in the uk and overseas expected.
Full training will be provided on the High Voltage systems.

Key responsibilities:
Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair faults
Attend customer sites to carry out scheduled maintenance
Removal and refit of Magtec hardware both on site and in house
Inspections of incoming and outgoing vehicles
Warranty and campaign work both on site and in house
Upkeep of all associated documentation
Validation and development of Magtec vehicles/software/hardware
HGV/Fitter/Plant/Service/Technician/vehicle/Recovery/Electric/EV/Drives/mechanical/electrical/bus/train/military
Electrical:
Knowledge and understanding of 24v vehicle wiring systems and practices
Experience of 12/24v fault finding on vehicle systems.
Understanding of Can networks and diagnostics.
A good level of vehicle and bench fitting skills (electrical )

Mechanical:
Apprentice trained or time served mechanic PSV / HGV background
A good level of vehicle and bench fitting skills (mechanical)
Mechanical fault finding
HGV/Fitter/Plant/Service/Technician/vehicle/Recovery/Electric/EV/Drives/mechanical/electrical/bus/train/military
Category C/D licence (advantageous)
Experience of reprogramming vehicle-based software
Accurate report writing
MS Word and Excel competent
Ability to work safely alone and as part of a team
