Futures are supporting a leading manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Health and Safety Manager.
Reporting into the Site Director you will be responsible for managing all aspects of health, safety and environment and to ensure the site mains a good level of health and safety awareness.
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager;
Maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise in all areas of Compliance in order to provide appropriate advice and support.
To provide H&S management reporting to agreed deadlines
Providing managers and employees with information on legislative and corporate compliance, advising on ways of meeting statutory requirements and Corporate HS&E Policies, HSE guidance and codes of practice
To ensure that risk assessments/safe systems of work requirements are met
Proactively work with other areas of the business to develop SHE culture
Conduct monthly safety audits, behavioural observations and quarterly safety inspections
Successful Health and Safety Managers will be;
Previous experience of working within a FMCG manufacturing environment
Proven track record in health and safety management
NEBOSH diploma or NVQ level 5 or 6
Excellent organisational skills
Experience of SHE management process
Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box
