Our client, a market-leading electronics company, is looking for a Hardware Team Leader to join their growing engineering team. As Hardware Team Leader you will still be involved in day-to-day engineering activities and have responsibility for your own portfolio of work alongside mentoring and developing others within the team. You will be joining a growing business offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work on some really exciting projects. This established company has seen an influx of new projects and engineers over the past 12 months and they now need to add a Hardware Team Leader to the team. The appointed Team Leader should have a strong hardware background and an excellent understanding of embedded systems.
Hardware Team Leader – Role and Responsibilities
– Manage multiple projects including new designs and rework/modification
– Efficiently work to deadlines and guarantee delivery on company deadlines
– Varied roles encompassing all aspects of hardware engineering including PCB schematics, layout design, microprocessors, circuit design and test engineering
– Exposure to firmware/embedded software would be beneficial
– Liaise with other members of the engineering team to deliver a top-quality product
– Mentoring and developing the team, teaching them new skills and best practice
Hardware Team Leader – Skills and Abilities
– Degree qualified in Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Communication Engineering or equivalent
– Proficient in the use of PCB schematic capture and layout software
– Knowledge of embedded processors and digital systems advantageous. VHDL experience preferred
– The ability to demonstrate experience in EMC good practice and design
