Manufacturing Futures are working with a successful electronics business that is looking to appoint a Hardware Design Engineer. The Hardware Design Engineer will be experienced within electronics hardware design and comfortable interacting with project managers, mechanical and software design engineers on multi-faceted projects.
The appointed Hardware Design Engineer will need to be able to work autonomously on projects so this is not the job for any recent Electronics Engineering graduates. This will best suit a Hardware Design Engineer with a strong background in designing hardware. Hardware Design Engineer – Role & Responsibilities – Electronic Engineering / Hardware / PCB / Circuit Design
– Manage multiple projects including new design and rework/modification
– Efficiently work to deadlines and guarantee delivery on company deadlines
– Varied role encompassing all aspects of hardware engineering including PCB schematics, layout design, circuit design and test engineering
– Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers
– Liaise with other members of the engineering team and direct junior members of staff
– Participate on reviews of design work (both your own work and that of colleagues)
Hardware Design Engineer – Skills & Abilities – Electronic Engineering / Hardware / PCB / Circuit Design
– A relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or similar)
– Proficient in the use of PCB schematic capture and layout software
– Experience of drawing and sketching diagrams
– Experience with mechanical engineering software
