Futures Manufacturing Team are looking to appoint Fork Lift Truck, Stores Operatives for a full time permanent days role (8am 4pm).
You will be working for an expanding manufacturing business in Rotherham with a full order book and exciting times ahead.
Our client is well-known for its development of staff and specialise in designing and manufacturing within the automotive industry.
FLT/Warehouse/Stores/stock/Loading/Unloading/materials handling/
Skills needed for this Stores Operative role:
Deal with stock requisitions from the shop floor and issue as appropriate.
To take responsibility for supporting the development of the stores function and improving existing processes.
Issue components/kits for works orders ensuring they are in the correct location.
Conduct periodic stock taking activities.
Conduct regular 5S activities within the stores department including red tagging any surplus/redundant stock
Manual handling of goods
FLT/Warehouse/Stores/stock/Loading/Unloading/materials handling/
Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role within an engineering/manufacturing environment is essential
Stock handling experience is essential
Sound knowledge of good working practice relating to Health & Safety Regulations
Excellent I.T. skills with knowledge of stock systems
Excellent organisation skills
Good attention to detail
You will be a confident communicator both written and verbal, good at multitasking, and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Current Counterbalance Forklift truck licence is essential
You will be friendly, approachable and flexible
