Due to continued growth our client is recruiting a Finance Assistant with experience of supervising both sales ledger and purchase ledger functions to provide support to the accounting team at their head office based in Rotherham. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone to work their way up through the business. Finance Assistant – Role and Responsibilities – Financial, Accounts, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger
* Oversee the purchase ledger and sales ledger, inputting and logging invoices and return notes on a daily basis
* Reconciling statements on a monthly basis to help other members of the Finance team (FD, Management Accountant, Financial Controller)
* Provide data to management on KPIs for both the purchase ledger and sales ledger function
* Dealing with queries from suppliers and arranging supplier payment runs via BACs and cheque
* Raise sales invoices in accordance with payment schedules and deliveries for customers
* Ad hoc duties as required.

* A good general knowledge of purchase ledger and sales ledger activity
* Someone who is a team player and isn’t afraid to step outside of their exact JD specific role when required
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, within keen eye to detail
* Self-motivation and adaptability
* Proactive and flexible approach, with a willingness to undertake all tasks required of the role
* The ability to multi-task and ability to prioritise work load is essential
