Our client, an expanding technology focused business, seek to appoint a Field Sales Manager with experience in one of the following sectors: Industry 4.0, IoT, Machine Learning, Robotics, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technology or similar. They are due to release a new product to the market in the coming months and the successful candidate will take the lead on this activity. Any experience with NPI would be advantageous. The appointed sales manager will identify new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers and convert them into sales. You will work in an autonomous role with the flexibly to plan your own diary and should expect to be out on the road at least 3 days a week. * Establish and maintain relationships with designated existing and prospective customers
* Communicate new product propositions to existing and prospective customers
* Plan, prepare and deliver responses (inclusive of presentations) to existing and prospective customers
* Maintain Customer Relationship Management database accurately and in a timely manner and produce a monthly sales report
* Promote and develop corporate image and reputation and contribute to overall business development plan
* Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and provide the Managing Director with market activity feedback

* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a BEng/BSc subject
* Experience selling advanced technology and complex engineered systems
* Proven track record in a technical sales role within an engineering market sector. Often you’ll liaise directly with other engineers (and purchasing and leadership posts too)
* Excellent proposal presentation skills
* Confident working in an autonomous role (you’ll get supported but will be relied on to be the self-starter the team needs)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels
* Good working knowledge and previous experience selling Industry 4.0 solutions: Automation, IoT, Robotics, Digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence
