Shift Pattern: Sun – Thurs, 22:30 – 06:00

We have a great opportunity for a Factory Shift Manager to become part of the UK’s largest food manufacturer, with a multibillion £ turnover and over 13,500 employees covering more than 18 sites!

This role sits within the Meals division, where they live by their mantra of ‘Making Every Meal Moment Special’. There are 5 sites creating over 500 different products to feed the nation, from ready meals to iced fingers.

About the Role:
This site is a key part of our Meals Solutions division, employing around 1,500+ people and producing a huge range of ready meals for major retail customers. It’s a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and you will be joining a business which offers plenty of opportunities for development and progression.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading and developing your team, working to ensure all departmental KPIs and objectives are constantly achieved.
• Coaching and mentoring your team, ensuring all appropriate training is undertaken, to develop skills and drive performance.
• Constantly looking for new, more effective ways of working by identifying root causes if targets aren’t achieved and analysing trends to highlight areas of improvement.
• Ensuring all GMP and food safety standards are met at all times.
• Proactively promoting a positive Health & Safety culture, so that all of the team adhere to H&S policies and procedures.

About You:
• Prior experience of leading and developing production teams and achieving targets and KPIs in a food manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable experience of coaching and developing people, and handling performance management issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
• Able to plan and prioritise and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Health & Safety focused (preferably IOSH qualified or above).
