Our a client is a growing manufacturing business that operate on a worldwide basis in a range of different sectors and are looking to appoint an engineering manager to successfully oversee the people, machinery and processes. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to work from a blank canvas and bring in fresh ideas of operating the engineering team. The ideal candidate is somebody who will oversee the day to day, implement continuous improvement and get the most out of the department.
Engineering Manager / Engineering / Maintenance Manager / Manufacturing / Lean / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma / PPM
Roles & Responsibilities:
Implement and understand continuous improvement
Carry out weekly meeting and regular talks with the maintenance team
Implement a new PPM schedule
Ensure the maintenance side of the site is running smoothly and at maximum efficiency
Carry out maintenance work as and when needed
Manage maintenance staff within the business ensuring you are getting the most from each individual
Implement process improvements
Look at cost reduction and maximising resources
Engineering Manager / Engineering / Maintenance Manager / Manufacturing / Lean / Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma / PPM
Methodical in the approach to process improvements.
Ideally experience with lean manufacturing
At least 3 years management experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience of getting the best of people
Strong ICT skills
HND/HNC in engineering
Strong awareness of health and safety
