Our client, an electronics manufacturing business, seeks to appoint an Electronic Design Engineer to the engineering team.
The appointed will provide support to internal Sales, R&D, and Production Engineering Departments and handle external queries from a worldwide customer base whilst designing new products and modifying existing designs.
You will need good knowledge of electronics (electrical and electronic engineering qualification preferred) and have a good all-round appreciation of electronics.
You’ll be joining a business with a real family feel and a great working environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
– Design of new and modification of existing products
– PCB design and layout and basic circuit design
– Electro-mechanical modelling using SolidWorks 3D CAD software
– Production Engineering, Test Engineering and shop floor manufacturing support when required
– Customer support as required – excellent phone manner
Your Skills and Abilities:
– HNC/HND/Degree Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent
– Practical experience in electronics manufacturing – familiarity with PCB design and layout, hardware, software and mechanical engineering
– Confident and a good communicator with hands-on experience
– Knowledge of PCB software, circuit design, and wiring
– Proficient in written and spoken English with good knowledge of MS Office
