Our client, a well-established electronics manufacturing business, seeks to appoint an Electronic Design Engineer with a software bias to their development team!
The appointed electronic design engineer will have good knowledge of software for power electronics, C or a variant of C as a programming language, larger PICs / Microprocessors, and have previous experience working in an R&D team on brand new designs.
The company offer an excellent atmosphere with a ‘laid back’ feel where the pressure to perform comes from the individual engineer. There’s also a truly collaborative approach and some very well-qualified and experienced engineers within the team to support you.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
– Interpret initial concept and design, prototype, test and introduce into manufacturing electronics R&D projects
– PCB design and layout, circuit design
– BOM / build instruction
– Embedded software / Microprocessor / PICs
Your Skills and Abilities:
– HND / Degree in Electronic Engineering or closely aligned discipline
– Previous experience designing software for power electronic devices
– Familiar with coding for embedded software: C, C#, C++
– Good knowledge of PICs/microprocessors
