We are seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to join a fantastic team in Leeds!
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing PCB layouts in Altium, working with micro-controllers, general circuitry, and doing basic C coding on embedded systems.
Your Responsibilities:
– Design and develop electronic circuits using Altium, including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOM
– Work with micro-controllers and embedded systems to develop and program firmware
– Research, evaluate and select components and technologies to optimize the design of the system
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineering, mechanical engineering, and test engineering to ensure complete system functionality
– Debug and troubleshoot electronic circuits and firmware by performing various tests and simulations
– Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and peer code reviews
Your Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
– Solid experience in designing electronic circuits using Altium, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM creation
– Extensive experience in working with micro-controllers, general circuitry and doing basic C coding on embedded systems
– Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits, signal conditioning, and noise reduction techniques
– Proven experience in debugging electronic circuits and firmware, including using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and analytically
