Electronic Design Engineer | Wakefield, | £35,000 – £45,000

Our client, an established electronics manufacturer with a talented & stable design team, seeks to appoint an Electronics Design Engineer. The ideal Electronics Design Engineer will have experience with power supply design and be a good all-round engineer who likes to be involved in various stages of the product lifecycle.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work on various exciting projects, often to tight deadlines. Good time management skills are essential for a successful Electronics Design Engineer. You will be part of an experienced team with a positive working environment and the scope to take charge of your own projects..

Electronic Design Engineer – Role & Responsibilities
• Manage projects including new design and rework/modification
• Efficiently work to deadlines and guarantee delivery on company deadlines
• Varied roles encompassing all aspects of hardware engineering including PCB schematics, layout design, circuit design and test engineering
• Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Liaise with other members of the engineering team and direct junior members of staff
• Participate in reviews of design work (both your own work and that of colleagues)

Electronic Design Engineer – The Person
• Degree educated in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or similar)
• Proficient in the use of PCB schematic capture and layout software
• Experience with power electronics design
• Experience with typical engineering software
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar role
