About the role


We are currently working with this small but very successful company with a unique product; its Engineering team are looking for an ambitious individual, who can demonstrate strong mechanical skills – some basic electronics knowledge is a bonus, whilst also being ready to train in the wider aspects of technical support and installation of our process tomography systems. This may occasionally require some international and national travel after a few months training. The role will involve design and development plus legacy upgrades of specialist 3D sensors so an Electromehchanical background would be an advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for sensor drawings and related documentation.
Responsible for sensor inspection and tests before delivery to customer.
Once trained, to provide commissioning support and training to end users.
Support colleagues in conducting feasibility studies and trials for potential customers in new application areas
Work closely with various teams within the company.
Adhere and contribute to the companys quality management system

Your Background & Skills
Degree qualified in mechanical engineering academic background
Some experience using SolidWorks CAD software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and technical software tools (such as MATLAB) is a bonus.
An understanding of manufacturing processes and assemblies.
A sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
The ability to work as part of a team
High proficiency in English, both written and oral.
Strong work ethic and flexible mind set
A methodical approach to projects with high levels of attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines
Confident interpersonal skills and able to work well under pressure
Able to travel internationally
Full UK driving license
