About the role


Futures are excited to be working with an established manufacturer, based near Huddersfield, that is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer!

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for implementing planned and reactive maintenance in a traditional manufacturing setting. You need to be an electrically qualified engineer, with some basic mechanical skills, and be happy in a fast-paced production environment.

It’s a day shift pattern (7 – 4 or 8 – 5) with an early finish on a Friday. There will be the occasional call-out on a weekend which is paid at enhanced rates.

Your Responsibilities:
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities to facilitate the move from breakdown to scheduled maintenance on site.
• Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
• Participate in constructing, installing and commissioning new plant/machinery and upgrades.
• Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Consistently perform asset maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard via weekly inspection format.
• Identification of critical spares and maintenance consumables.
• Work with teams on continuous improvement projects

Your Skills/Experience:
• A relevant electrical engineering qualification (18th edition ideally)
• Some mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience maintaining equipment, machinery and plant
