Our West Yorkshire based manufacturing client are going through a period of sustained growth and now require an experienced Electrical Engineer with experience of assembling and testing power transformers to join them. As Electrical Engineer you will be involved in in-house fitting, assembly and test work and also take a leading role in site based activities where appropriate, travelling to site to install and service equipment. You’ll be joining an ambitious company with a family feel and deserved reputation for treating their staff well.
Electrical Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Power Transformers / Electrical Distribution / Assembly / Fitting / Test / Service
* In-house fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers
* Travel to third party sites both in the UK and abroad to build up the equipment and test, sometimes including anti-social hours
* Ensure that all equipment is assembled and tested to the highest standard

* Apprentice trained with appropriate engineering qualification
* Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential
* Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings
* Competent user of general workshop machinery and hand tools
* It would be beneficial, but not required, for you to have up-to-date training with on Overhead Crane / Slinging Lifting certification and a FLT licence
