About the role

Futures are working with an outstanding Manufacturer who are growing and expanding and now need additional Electrical Assemblers to hit production targets



The Electrical Assembler will work within the Controller team to manufacture a wide variety of Low and High voltage production electrical harnesses, components and control panels.
Reporting into the Electrical Supervisor.
The role will require occasional overtime to be worked to meet production / customer delivery dates.
To support the electrical assembly of HV/ LV cables looms and components as well as EV control panels.



Manufacture of cables and harnesses to schematic drawings
Testing of manufactured harnesses; working to SOPs and test documentation whilst accurately recording information
Supporting the team in manufacturing sub system components like LV / HV distribution boxes and control panels
Liaising with seniors and engineering to develop prototype harnesses
Monitoring line side stock and identifying shortages
Accurately allocating used stock to work orders
Accurately booking time to work orders
Maintaining a safe, neat work area which complies with a lean manufacturing environment
All other duties as required by the department


Experience & Skills

Dedicated, can-do attitude is a must
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Experience manufacturing HV harnesses/ cable looms
Experience using a variety of electrical terminations and tooling
Experience with dry soldering
Experience fault finding harness issues using standard hand tools
Working in a demanding environment meeting deadlines
Working on their own and as part of a wider team
Producing work to a high-quality standard; replicating this standard on each build
A good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite


HV safety understanding / qualification (BTEC L3 Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or similar)
Experience in testing electrical systems/ looms/ panels
