Futures are seeking to appoint a Design Technician to provide support for our client’s engineering team. As a Design Technician you will have a technological qualification, experience of building, testing and debugging electro-mechanical systems, excellent written communication skills to produce documentation and a “go the extra mile” attitude to proactively support the design engineering team. Design Technician – Role and Responsibilities – Electronics / Mechanical / Hardware / BOM / Test Engineer / Design / Testing
* Produce and maintain technically accurate and illustrative (3D) Test Procedures
* Create and maintain test equipment BOMs, schematics, technical drawings
* Produce Risk Assessments, maintenance/calibration plans and trouble shoot guides
* Assemble products to specification and then test and debug it
* Provide technical support to Production, Quality & TPM teams
* Involvement with report / data generation process for R&D and manufacturing
Design Technician – Skills and Abilities – Electronics / Mechanical / Hardware / BOM / Test Engineer / Design / Testing
* HNC or equivalent in an engineering or technology based subject
* Competent in building, testing and debugging electro-mechanical systems
* Experience of building, testing and working with electrical and mechanical assemblies
* Excellent computer literacy, particularly with MS Office apps Excel, Word and Outlook
