We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer with good experience of embedded systems. To succeed in this role you need an engineering degree (or similar experience) and to be good at maths with excellent attention to detail. There’s a lot of MATLAB / Simulink work and you need good analytical skills for dealing with complex data and simulations. Once projects are completed you need to be able to wrote reports and present complex information clearly. You will need a background in vehicles (automotive, rail, aerospace, military, defence) and ideally you will have some knowledge of functional safety

Control Systems Engineer – Role and Responsibilities – Embedded Systems, MATLAB, Simulink, Vehicle, Automotive
* Experienced in embedded control systems with MATLAB/Simulink development experience.
* Having a solid technical engineering background
* Automotive experience, including HV applications, simulation and testing of powertrain systems
* Experience in powertrain modelling, simulation of test cycles, correlation with testbed data / vehicle data
* You have a systems engineering background and understanding of the development lifecycle for a safety critical application.
* Able to convert complex data sets into meaningful Paretos and graphs
* Used to regularly liaising with mechanical, electronics, VI and test engineers
* A clear communicator able to explain concepts and development lifecycles to the non technical
* Used to products manipulating streaming data, real time analytics and mathematical datasets
* Disseminate and catalogue test results and marry evidential data to functional documentation and standards requirements/ ISO26262.
* Assist with new product development and test
* Continually seek improvement opportunities

* Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both written and verbal.
