Futures are working with a well-known and respected manufacturing business based near Manchester who seek to appoint a Project Coordinator with mechanical engineering experience on a permanent basis. Your main role will be supporting the contracts team so a background in contracts is desirable but not essential. You need to have experience in activities such as BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders and previous involvement in a customer facing role. Your role will be to manage a series of contracts through the company, working closely with internal teams in engineering, purchasing and manufacturing, to ensure that customer requirements are met and your projects are delivered in full and on time. You will have frequent interaction with external parties too.
Previously, we have found that Internal Sales Engineers fit very well into this role.

* Familiarity with mechanical engineering: BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders, engineering drawings
* Daily communication with a range of stakeholders (suppliers, customers and internal teams)
* Managing customer expectations and keeping them updated and informed on the progress of their order
* General office administration support
* Competent with Microsoft Office

* Previous experience in a customer or supplier facing role for a manufacturing company
* A good understanding of mechanical engineering (Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous but not essential)
* Previous experience with engineering drawings
* Familiar with full Microsoft suite of products
* Well organised with good attention to detail
