Futures are working with a well known manufacturing business based near Wakefield who seek to appoint a Contracts Engineer on a permanent basis. Your main role will be supporting the contracts team so a background in contracts or projects is highly desirable. You need to have experience in activities such as BOMs, work instructions, work orders, sales orders and previous involvement in a customer focused role. You will work closely with engineering, purchasing and manufacturing teams to ensure that customer requirements are met and have frequent interaction with external parties.

*Working from BOMs, work instructions, work orders and sales orders
*Daily communication with a range of stakeholders (suppliers, customers and internal teams)
* Managing customer expectations and keeping them updated and informed on the progress of their order
*General office administration support
*Competent with Microsoft excel and data input

*Previous experience in a customer or supplier facing role for a manufacturing company
* A good understanding of mechanical engineering (Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous)
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
*Comfortable working from BOMs, work instructions, work orders and sales orders
*Familiar with full Microsoft suite of products
*Well organised with good attention to detail
