Futures are working with a Local Authority based in the South East on an exciting project implementing a new Education Management System.
The Council are looking for a Communications & Engagement Lead to develop and deliver the Childrens Education Systems Project Communications workstreams and to manage the development and delivery of communication and training plans.
In terms of what we’re looking for you’ll need experience in the following areas:
Significant experience leading and managing the delivery of staff engagement, communications and training in a complex diverse organisation during a period of change.
Experience of operating at all levels in a large complex organisation.
Actively consults and supports the flow of communication through the organisation.
Sound experience of using a range of communications and training channels and methods to reach diverse audiences.
Experience of working in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Evidence of developing effective communications & training strategies and plans.
The work you’ll be doing is expected to cover the following areas:
Lead and deliver excellent communications across CEF to engage internal staff and external stakeholders for the Childrens Education Systems project priorities and strategic vision.
Engage necessary operational staff, schools, parents and partners at relevant junctures to increase awareness and prepare for implementation, service transition and post go-live support.
Work with Operational Leads and the Project Team to design and deliver consistent, engaging and timely communications at Directorate level with service users and key stakeholders using the variety of media channels available.
Manage, create, develop and deliver all communications routes, including communication forums and newsletters, to engage, inform and inspire staff, schools, parents and all relevant system users.
Work with Operational and Administrative Leads to understand and document the training requirements for all elements of the service.
Work with the Project Team to design and deliver appropriate end user training for the new systems implementation using a variety of mediums tailored to the relevant stakeholders including but not limited to written guidance, short how to videos (specialist video capture knowledge not essential) and online briefings.
Capture and document the required statistical analysis for the output of the training activity and report to the Project Manager.
Monitor, evaluate and report to the appropriate management structure on the success of communications and training activities to deliver continuous improvement.
We expect this to be a long term contract running into summer 2022 to support the implementation project. The role has been assessed as inside IR35 and the budget is between £350 – £400 per day.
