Our client is an expert in the products they sell and continually add value in the supply chain and due to growth they are hiring an experienced Sales/Account Manager to join their existing team.
The successful Commercial Manager will sell the full range products to existing customers as well as continually developing new customer contacts and new business.
Main purpose of the role:
– To develop relationships (from a supply perspective) with new and key Principals and gain detailed product knowledge of all key suppliers and their capabilities
– To liaise with other Divisions within the Group and where possible supply and sell
– Build relationships (from a sales perspective) with customer NPD/Technical departments & Purchasing teams which will result in generating new sales.
Main responsibilities:
– To physically visit UK based customers and utilise video conferencing where face to face visits are not possible
– To occasionally visit UK and non-UK based suppliers
– To facilitate the communication process between supplier and customer
– Keeping up to date with trends in food and drinks industry, market developments, legislation, import, health and other related trends
– To be fully aware of the technicalities and pitfalls of importing goods from outside of the UK, into the UK
– Assisting and arranging samples, taking to customers, NPD/buying depts
– To issue, make, and amend supply and purchase contracts.
– To attend Group Sales Meetings.
– Understand the broader business of the group and developing into group sales opportunities
– Follow the company BRC procedures
