We are seeking an experienced Chartered Structural Engineer to join a growing team in an exciting industry!
You will be responsible for designing a range of precast and in situ concrete solutions utilising innovative laser-cut reinforcing technology.
In this role, you will be technically responsible for reinforcement technology innovation, development and validation for a range of applications in all sectors of the construction industry.
You will be responsible for:
– Acting as technical lead on projects large and small.
– Liaising with and leading other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives.
– Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages and from first principles.
– Ensuring that quality and consistency of technical output (drawings, reports etc.) is maintained.
– Preparing high-quality technical reports and calculations to support internal and external sign-off.
– Liaise and work with the internal team of other mechanical/structural engineers and contract/business managers, and external parties such as experimental testing facilities and Universities.
– Developing own knowledge and ability. Continuous improvement activities to support business growth.
– Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve design practices and enhance construction efficiency.
– Keeping senior management up to date on project status and progress.
Your Skills and Experience:
– Qualified to MEng degree (or BEng and Masters) in Civil/Structural engineering.
– Be a Chartered Structural Engineer with ICE or IStructE.
– Proficient in the use of 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX, Autodesk Suite or similar).
– A high degree of initiative and strong problem-solving capability.
– Demonstrable practical manufacturing or assembly experience.
– The ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a member of a high-performance team.
– Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
