About the role

Business Development Manager Manufacturing
Salary 30,000-40,000 Basic Salary / uncapped commission scheme
Location: Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4BH (potential to consider remote working arrangement)

We have experienced significant growth in recent years and are keen to continue our development and reach across the manufacturing sector. Key to this is the appointment of a Business Development Manager within Manufacturing. This is a crucial position for us to expand into new markets outside of the existing specialism of our existing senior consultants.
Applicants should have the get-up-and-go self-motivating drive to bring in high quality fillable vacancies from an existing pool of clients that already know you, alongside sales activity into new markets, whilst working largely autonomously. Whilst frequently visiting our offices each week you will spend large chunks of your week on the road visiting clients and you should also be able to engage a team of resourcers responsible for filling the vacancies you bring in by liaising with them remotely.
Were open to sector knowledge within the broad remit of manufacturing, engineering and distribution but want the incoming consultant to have a little black book of contacts within their own niche (whatever that may be, were open to what you know best as long as it sits broadly within manufacturing, engineering and distribution) and be able to generate an average of at least five high quality vacancies per week from a high volume of outbound new business telesales activity and face-to-face visits.
Responsibilities of Business Development Manager Manufacturing
Personally accountable for bringing in high quality jobs by phone, email and in person
Personally accountable for meeting or exceeding activity based targets
Take personal responsibility for own desk to ensure billing increases year on year
Following Manufacturing Futures Standard Operating Procedures for all client contact
Pro-actively target new clients from directed lists to win new business
Target key accounts from directed lists to develop and then secure new PSL agreements
Account management and continued development of newly won clients with regular contact Revenue and profit generation through placements within Manufacturing, Engineering or Distribution
Development of business development / sales strategy
Business development and relationship building with key clients
Account management to ensure high standard of service delivery
Experience required for Business Development Manager Manufacturing:
At least five years experience as a 360 or sales led recruiter and a proven history of consistent high billing
Able to identify new leads and business development opportunities on a daily basis to win new business, from new companies, regularly and in a professional manner
Previous experience of securing PSL agreements with large organisations, bringing on-board multiple new clients
Maintain & build client relationships to develop newly won accounts into larger accounts. Increase overall spend from newly won accounts
Be of smart appearance, polite, friendly, knowledgeable and professional at all times to ensure you leave a lasting positive impression when representing Futures at a client or candidate meetings
Applicants should be self-motivating and relied upon to work without direct supervision
