We are currently recruiting for an Applications Engineer for a manufacturer the Bradford area with excellent motorway links.
The Applications Engineer’s role is multi-functional; from visiting the clients site to discuss a requirement to providing a technical solution which may well be a complete redesign or an adaptation of an existing product. The Applications Engineer also provides valuable engineering experience for the development and improvement of new products and the industrialisation of them. You will also provide customer and distributor training on the company’s products. This company is a Global business which can offer good career prospects for a motivated individual. Some oversees travel will be involved (pandemic permitting).
Currently the role is flexible WFH until spring 2022 but this may be extended although you’ll need to be in the office full-time until your training is complete.

You:
Essential
Degree or HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering
A good understanding of materials
Excellent communication and presentation skills (you’ll be asked to do a presentation at final selection)
Able to use AutoCAD
Ability to perform engineering calculations
Able to spend short periods away from home
Customer focussed
Team oriented
Advantageous but not essential
Some sales experience
Knowledge of jointing, sealing and bolting in Chemical/Petrochem/Oil/ Gas environments
