About the role


An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a well-established mechanical engineering focused manufacturing business in the middle of a growth period, who seek to appoint an Account Manager. You will ensure that you are managing the customers requirements in line with the sites production capacity, ensuring that deadlines are met. You will be capable of delivering exceptional customer service to an allocated portfolio of clients and will be held responsible for managing the day to day activities required to ensure clients get the best possible service. In order to achieve this, you will manage your own workload whilst supporting account coordinators allocated to your client portfolio. There will be occasional other Account Management style duties as required. Account Manager – Role and Responsibilities – Account Management / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Account Coordinator / SAGE / SAP / Excel

* To deliver exceptional customer service to a portfolio of reputable clients
* Handling customer requests along with the Account Coordinator, including maintaining stock sheets, undertaking/managing stock counts, etc
* Supporting the Account Coordinator whilst managing own workload
* Organising item set-ups, BOMs, routes, work orders, purchase orders and sales orders
* Maintain good internal communication channels with all departments, including production, commercial, quality, warehouse & finance, in order to ensure production runs smoothly and that any potential pitfalls are identified early and mitigated

* Proven experience in a customer service or client management focused role
* The ability to lead a team whilst managing your own workload
* Experience of working alongside a fast-paced production environment would be advantageous
* Proficient in Microsoft office packages, especially Excel
* Proficient understanding of SAP and SAGE preferred
* Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Experience in a mechanical engineering focused manufacturing environment
